Our Story

Michelle Joy is the creator of Magic Makers of the North Pole, a heartwarming world where kindness, friendship, and everyday moments remind children — and the grown-ups who love them — that the greatest magic is found in caring for one another.

Inspired by a love of Christmas and the quiet moments that often matter most, my stories invite families to slow down, laugh together, and discover that even the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.

Through beautifully illustrated books, Mrs. Claus's Journal, family activities, coloring pages, and future North Pole adventures, I'm creating more than a book series — I'm creating a place where Christmas lives all year long.

My stories are told and written by Mrs. Claus (aka Michelle), who quietly sees the little things that might otherwise go unnoticed.

I believe the best children's books don't end when the last page is turned. That's where the website comes in. It's an extension of the books, not just a place with links to the books and products.

The books become memories that families carry with them long after the story is over. Every story, every character, and every corner of the North Pole is created with one purpose: to help families notice the little things that matter most.

I'm building a world. Books are simply one of the ways people enter the world of the Magic Makers.

"I hope every family who visits the Magic Makers of the North Pole, in the books or online, leaves believing that kindness creates magic and that the little things in life are often the biggest."

Who is Michelle Joy?

Some people say she spends her days writing children's books. Others believe she's simply a storyteller chosen to share the secrets of the North Pole. No one knows exactly how she finds her way there, but somehow she always returns with another tale of hardworking elves, cozy kitchens, sparkling snow, and everyday magic that keeps Christmas alive 365 days a year.

What Michelle does know is this: every child deserves a place they miss when they close the book cover. So whenever you open one of her books, don't be surprised if you find yourself wandering beneath the Friendship Tree, laughing with Cassie, Felicity, and Gemma, or lending a hand to Santa's merry band of elves. After all… the North Pole is always happy to welcome a new friend.
